If you are considering becoming a client of Shires we will be pleased to have one of our existing clients chat with you to answer any questions you may have.
“Below are a few very kind words from a few of our clients, all of which we would like to thank very much for their continued support”.
I have been a locksmith for 30 years and have had the same accountant for as long as I can remember. I meet with him once a year collected my accounts, paid him and paid the taxman.
In 2011 I was approached by Shires who asked if they could just look over my accounts to see if I was claiming the right expenses and allowances. I had nothing to lose so agreed. At our meeting it quickly became clear that I had not been claiming what I was entitled to and for so many years had been over paying tax and NI.
Needless to say since then Shires have been my accountants, they are always on hand to help and I actually see them regularly. Simply Excellent.
“I joined Shires in 2012 following continued disappointment and overcharging by my previous accountants. Now my only regret is that I did not move to Shires sooner, I cannot fault the service I receive from them and you can trust Dave and Penny implicitly “they do exactly what it says on the tin”.
“Shires are not your typical accountants Penny has owned businesses outside of accountancy and therefore she does not have that blinkered approach to business like many other accountancy firms. She has outstanding business knowledge which was a real asset to me during the dissolving of my business partnership and re-establishing my business as a limited company”.
– Hair & Beauty
I established my opticians in 2008 and was recommend to an accountant that I worked with for the following 3 years. It was not until I had a VAT inspection that I realised my accountants had not been applying the correct VAT scheme nor had they been completing my accounts for the HMRC with any degree of accuracy.
As you can imagine I was a little concerned as to the situation is an understatement, I approached Shires mid-investigation, they took the time to explain to me what had gone wrong and they know exactly what had to be done, they dealt with the VAT investigation within a matter of weeks and unwound and re-submitted 3 years accounts to the HMRC”.
The best recommendation I can give is:- “If you run a small business and you do not use Shires you are making a big mistake”.
